56% of People in the US say their Office is too Cold. Get Warm and Comfy with these Blankets
With more and more people returning to work as COVID-19 vaccines roll out across the world, people are facing the prospect that the office may not be as comfortable as home. In the modern office, many people feel cold – especially in summer when air conditioners are sometimes turned up too high. In terms of workplace temperature and staff comfort, “we're all a little different here and that one size doesn't fit all.” So, we sometimes need to put on a sweatshirt or bring a blanket with us to work in order to feel comfortable and be more productive. Women, in particular, tend to feel colder at work. According to Dr Devi Nampiaparampil of the NYU School of Medicine, "Women tend to have lower basal metabolic rates, so they tend to burn off energy a lot slower.'' In other words, "They actually give off less heat than men, so they tend to be colder." So, women may have an extra need to put on a shawl or wrap in a comfy blanket. Photo by Andr...
